Manual Cultivation for Flawless Grapes

We work a lot with our hands. We use them to prune 100,000 vines every winter and work the soil under the vines every spring.  Our hands are far more precise and sensitive than machines. With them, we can do things that machines can’t do - things that are so important to us. For example, in our best vineyards, instead of cutting off vine shoots, we wrap them around the wires and ensure that they develop evenly.

And, naturally, we harvest manually. The harvest days are the most important ones of the entire year. So by doing this completely by hand, we make sure  - one final time – that all the grapes are flawless, healthy and perfectly ripe.
